Rob Felber Speaks to Future Entrepreneurs at Kent State University
On Friday, March 28th Rob Felber participated in Kent State University's Entrepreneurship Speaker Series. Over this semester, Professor Lee McMannis has a total of six area entrepreneurs coming to his classroom and speaking about their business experience. This series is set out to give the students in his entrepreneur class a real-life insight into the minds of the business owners. Students are encouraged to participate and provide feedback as to what ideas they thought were the most inspiring from each speaker. For the second year in a row, Professor McMannis' students enjoyed Rob's insights, advice and creative thinking. One student noted "Not only does Rob offer a quality service to his customers, with personal knowledge and a great marketing team, he provides a quality experience that creates an overall appeal to his customers."
Among the students who gave responses to his lecture, one student learned that Rob "proves to me that it isn't about how much knowledge you gain but how you use it. I will look forward to implementing this information in my own business one day because marketing is a key principle in the success of one's business." It seems one student immediately caught Rob's inspiring nature, "He is another speaker that motivates you to go after your entrepreneur dreams. Whenever he needs to improve his business he learns it and then does it. I will take what I have learned from Rob with me and remember it for the future."
Rob also gave the students insight into his charitable side, specifically noting the effectiveness of business through his volunteering efforts and constant giving back attitude. He helped them realize in volunteering you can utilize the power of networking. Intertwining the two gave students a new outlook, "[Rob] helped me to understand entrepreneurship better in a community focused way. He helped me to understand the power of networking and the importance of giving back to your community."
"It's important to know that no matter what type of company you are running, you need to understand your audience and their need; develop and execute a powerful marketing plan with the right mix of elements," one future entrepreneur states.
All in all, it seems like Rob's afternoon at Kent State was a success for Professor McMannis' students. Even Rob found it to be a learning experience, "It's refreshing to experience first-hand the young spirit of future entrepreneurs. Their enthusiasm is overwhelming and it gives me excitement to look forward to the upcoming generations to see what new things are going to happen."
