Intern Spotlight

By Tali Cyncynatus

My name is Tali Cyncynatus. I am currently the newest member to the Felber & Felber Marketing team. I am a senior at Streetsboro High School involved in the "school-to-work" program. On days that I do not work at Felber & Felber Marketing I am at my other job in retail.

A few months ago I asked my teacher to see if he had any opportunities for a marketing or advertisement position open because that is what I was interested in learning. He was able to track down Felber & Felber Marketing and they allowed me to come in and be part of their family. I enjoy going to the networking events that they sponsor, and since I am going to need a job when I graduate college it is a good way to learn how to get my name out there. I have been learning a lot of the trade while working here. Check out some of my blog posts. They have helped me out enormously by preparing me for the "real world," and for that, I thank them graciously for this opportunity. This internship will stick with me for life and I will remember all the help and tips I got when I have my first real job.

I am very excited to be attending The University of Akron next year with a mass media major. In the beginning of my journey into the "real world" I was very interested in doing video advertisement, although I still will be working in video, I have decided to direct my attention towards the music production side. I will hopefully be studying story boarding and creative thinking. I am very excited to graduate from high school and go to college; I think it will be a good "start over" moment for me considering not many people from my school are going to The University of Akron.

In my free time I like to go to movies, with comedies as my favorite. Music is another passion; I go to concerts whenever there is a good one around. I used to do cheer and dance for a competitive cheerleading squad for about eight years and played softball for almost 13 years (catcher and third base). I love playing the guitar and currently have a brushwood acoustic. Although I am not too good at it I am slowly beginning to get it. I love reading books, especially, mystery or just anything that has to do with life changing situations, so if you know any, let me know.

Well, thank you for taking time to get to know the new intern at Felber & Felber Marketing... hope you have a good year!
