Increase Rose sales during non-peak (summer) season. The off period is the result of customers tending their own gardens and thus not purchasing fresh cut flowers. |

| Solution: |
We created the 'Wine & Roses' campaign with romance in mind. Customers were encouraged to buy a dozen roses with the incentive to receive two special wineglasses with each dozen. The campaign was supported with radio spots and a direct mail postcard distributed by participating retailers. Point of purchase displays and window decals, along with special retailer apparel identified participating stores. A local celebrity endorsement helped kick off the program to wholesalers and their participating retailers. |

The Marketing director for Endres reported sales during the campaign surpassed previous levels and even attracted florists to the company who had previously not participated in the campaign. |
