Academy West 2001 is sponsored by the education department of The Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) and is conducted twice a year. The focus is on the core curriculum needed for participants to obtain the CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist) or MAS (Master Advertising Specialist) designation. Felber conducted a workshop on creativity with special attention to brainstorming techniques. In addition to the creativity workshop, (required to obtain the MAS designation) Felber facilitated a roundtable discussion on creativity. Felber is the president of the Ohio Promotional Products Association, a regional association of PPAI. Additionally, Bruce Felber has won two industry awards this year, a Silver Pyramid from PPAI, and a First Place award from NODMA (Northeast Ohio Direct Marketing Association).
